Dear Ken,
I am writing this letter
because in this day and age of quick fixes and questionable customer service, I
was so pleased with the gentleman (whose name now escapes me) that you sent out
to repair my window that I felt I needed to drop you a line. As I am sure he
informed you, the glass was far more difficult to remove than originally
anticipated, and he really had to work his butt off to get it out without
trashing the woodwork. In so doing he inadvertently broke an antique ceramic
towel hanger that was on the wall by the window, and he really felt terrible
about it. To make a long story short, he took the item with him, and last night
he returned it, totally repaired, along with a bottle of wine. I have no idea
where he was able to get it repaired, but it was almost like new.
While I thanked him
profusely, please pass on to him how much I appreciate his willingness to go the
extra mile. It is very refreshing to find people who understand the meaning of
the term "customer service". You should be proud to have him as your employee.
By the way, the window looks great.
